Back in August, I photographed the Seattle Washington couples portrait session of my wedding clients Allie and Chris.

This past year I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to make Seattle Washington Couples Portraits of my wedding clients. As a destination wedding and portrait photographer, it’s always such a joy to take photos of my clients in the places that matter most to them.

These two love their city life together in Seattle.

Allie is coming down the final stretch of obtaining her law degree from Seattle University and Chris works as an aircraft engineer. These two are passionate and driven in what they do. Above all else, they really value the time they have with one another in their relationship.

For their Seattle Washington Couples Portraits, they wanted to explore some of their favorite places in Seattle where they love to spend their free time with one another.

We walked through some of their favorite neighborhoods, explored parks near their home and checked out some of their favorite places for a good drink.

I can not wait to photograph their wedding day celebration in 2020. Congrats on your engagement Allie and Chris!

  • Bellingham Washington Family Portrait Session Hands Leaves

Back in October, I packed up my cameras and traveled northeast to photograph the Bellingham Washington Family Portraits of Kim and Daniel and their two daughters.

Upon my arrival in Seattle, we loaded up their Subaru and made a day trip north to the small coastal town near the Canadian border where we explored the beaches, rainforests, parks, the local farmers market, and the surrounding college town community of Bellingham.

It was great to have another opportunity to photograph this awesome family.

Years ago, before their second daughter came into the picture, I photographed this family here in Bozeman, Montana as they were traveling through town on a vacation.

This time it was fun to explore their home turf of Washington.

Bellingham is a beautiful place and was a great new photographic canvas to work with. I had a great time with this family.

Here are some of my favorite images from my time with them during their Bellingham Washington Family Portraits. -M

I love it when brides and grooms completely make their weddings unique and their own by doing a “Do-it-yourself” styled wedding. For my last wedding of the 2012 season, Melissa and Brendan wedding didn’t disappoint. I always like to end my wedding seasons with a bang. In the case of photographing their wedding a couple weeks ago, it was a literal interpretation with shotguns. These two Seattle outdoorsy, love birds found me through my connections with the fly fishing industry and flew me from Bozeman, Montana to Seattle, Washington for the weekend. For the groom, an avid hunter and fisherman, what better way to celebrate his wedding weekend but to start with a half day of blasting guns along the Yakima River at the private gun range. It was awesome and the fire powered event would set the tone for the rest of the country styled wedding weekend. Their wedding was held at this cute little fishing lodge called the The Canyon River Ranch along the Yakima River. Friends and family came together to help set up and celebrate these two. I had a great time getting to know them all. What a fun bunch. I wish them all the best. -M
